Last days to extend the settlement period

These are the last days to apply for an extension of the 2020 billing period. until the end of December 2022. Provincial branches of the National Health Fund are accepting applications only until June 30.

According to the National Health Service, applications can be submitted by medical facilities that could not fully implement the services covered by the contract during the period of COVID-19 restrictions. Once the application is submitted and approved, the billing period will be extended until December 31, 2022.

This applies to m.in. Facilities providing dental services, as well as AOS facilities, hospital treatment, rehabilitation, psychiatric care, spa treatment and hospice and palliative care.

Rules for the extension of the billing period

Extension of the billing period takes place at the request of the provider to the director of the relevant regional branch of the National Health Fund. The application must be submitted by June 30, 2022. electronic through the Provider Portal/SZOI.

The extension of the billing period applies to contracts concluded for 2020., For whom the billing period was previously extended to June 30, 2022. and covers the entire health care contract (of all benefit ranges). The billing period is extended until December 31, 2022.
